Application Guide
A. In order to apply for admission to the "Carol Davila" University of Medicine and Pharmacy, the applicant has to prepare a folder that will be handed (preferably in person) to the Foreign Students Department. The application folder has to contain:
1. Application form - the form can be downloaded from here.
2. Highschool Graduation Diploma - in original.
3. Notarized copy translated into Romanian of the Highschool Graduation Diploma.
4. Birth certificate – in original.
5. Notarized copy translated into Romanian of the Birth Certificate.
6. Passport with a legal long stay visa for studies, in Romania, obtained by legal procedure. In order to get more information on consular procedures follow this link or contact the Romanian Consulate in your country. Remember to ask for a long-stay visa for studies (symbol D/SD). Other types of visas are not accepted for application.
7. 2 recent photographs.
8. a medical certificate to prove that the applicant does not have any contagious diseases or any other diseases incompatible with the medical profession.
9. a statement on his/her responsibility by which the student-to-be, shows that the presented documents allow him to apply for a faculty in his/her own country.
10. A receipt obtained after depositing the exam tax of 320 USD in the bank account: UMF “Carol Davila”, No. 2511.31-2642.10/USD, Banca Comerciala Romana- Filiala Lipscani, Str Eugen Carada nr 1-3 Bucharest. The tax can be payed after ariving in Romania.
B. After preparing your application folder you have to hand this folder to the Foreign Students Department (to Mr. Franculescu) located in the Rectorat building,
37 Dionisie Lupu St., Sector 1, 70183 Bucharest. It is mandatory that your folder contains all the above specified documents. Incomplete folders will be rejected. Applicants are also recommended to hand in their application folders in person.
During the application period accommodation cannot be offered by the faculty. Therefore the applicants have to find accommodation by themselves. A cheap, confortable option would be the network of youth hostels in Bucharest (www.hostelbucharest.com). Booking can be done online.
